Illinois Railway Museum in Union

Today we took a ride on Thomas in Union Illinois at the Railway Museum.  Of course, Curtis was excited to be surrounded by trains.  He just loves them.  Luckily he took a long nap on the way there in the morning.  We actually closed the museum at the end of the day.  I personally could not believe that we arrived at 10am and were still there after 5pm.
Here are just a few pictures!
Curtis came back to this tent to watch the large scale trains many times.  He definitely had his favorites.

We had 11am tickets for a ride on Thomas.  You can't imagine all the parents and kids in Union Illinois ready to ride on this famous train.  There are strollers everywhere.  Curtis wore his train hat.  He asked for it immediately when he found out where he was going this morning.  I also packed his train whistles, train pez and extra trains.
Not only do you ride on Thomas, but they have many other trains to ride on.  We when on trolleys and a diesel train.  For train LOVERS, this is the place to be.
 Jayson and Curtis

not sure if you can see Curtis' face in this picture, but he is not happy.  He is very upset, because he thinks he is going to miss the next Thomas ride.  He is being very impatient with us.
I had to include a closeup.  I wanted him to smile before we ran outside to catch the next Thomas ride. He would have nothing to do with a cute picture for Mommy.
Carter and myself on the trolley.  I carried Carter around in a carrier all day.  It was much easier then a stroller.  He is so small and he loves to cuddle!

Grandpa, Curtis and Grandma on the trolley.  Luckily, Grandma and Grandpa loved all of the train rides.  Seriously, each ride was 40+ minutes long.  Plus, the museum is huge. There is a lot of walking around to see a lot of trains!

Curtis was lucky enough to get another train from Grandma.  He was so excited, he showed the conductor many times
 Finally, taking a quick rest

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa.  Curtis really loves his new train.  He took them to bed tonight!
