Carter was born on July 23rd at 1:14pm. Delivery was so fast that the grandparents missed the event. Jayson and I told them to come to the hospital around 2pm. We fully expected them to still be waiting. Little did we know that the nurse would come in the room at 12:30 and say, OMG, I need to call Dr Kuppaswami back right away! This baby is coming now.
Dr. Kuppaswami delivered both Curtis and Carter. She said she wished all her deliveries were as easy as Carter's.
Here are a few pictures of us leaving the hospital on Thursday, July 25th. Dr Kuppaswami would have sent me home on Wednesday, but I am glad I stayed one extra day. Grandma and Grandpa had Curtis and once I came home, I realized how nice the peace and quiet at the hospital was. Of course, everyone at Advocate Good Samaritan was great! I definitely received the VIP treatment.
We thought it would be a nice idea to have Curtis come to the hospital and we would all four leave together. However, he fell asleep in the car after Jayson picked him up from school.
Consequently, he slept through the entire discharge process.
Both my boys sleeping. If Jayson could have been sleeping, all three of them would have been out in the hospital.
Leaving the hospital with Baby Carter! The way it should be!
Nana and Papa painted the sign outside! Curtis loved it!
Curtis is still amazed at how big his feet are compared to Carter's feet.
Candy from Grandma and Grandpa! Thank you!
